# The Pensions Act 2014 (Consequential, Supplementary and Incidental Amendments) Order 2017, Article 8: Amendment of the Social Security (General Benefit) Regulations 1982

Extent: E+W+S

(1) The Social Security (General Benefit) Regulations 1982 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 1(2) (interpretation), omit the definition of “bereavement benefit”.
(3) In regulation 2(2) (exceptions from disqualification for imprisonment etc.), for “bereavement benefit” substitute “widowed parent’s allowance”.
