# The Pensions Increase (Modification) Regulations 2017, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 16th March 2017
Coming into force 9th April 2017
The Treasury, being satisfied that it is proper to do so, make the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 5(3) of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 and now vested in them:
