# The Pensions Regulator (Information Gathering Powers and Modification) Regulations 2021, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 28th June 2021
Coming into force 1st October 2021
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 72A(2), 77A(3)(a), 77B(5)(a), 307(1)(b) and 315(2) of the Pensions Act 2004.
In accordance with section 317(1) of the Pensions Act 2004, the Secretary of State has consulted such persons as she considers appropriate.
