  "text": "environmental protection\nMade 30th October 2007\nLaid before Parliament 1st November 2007\nComing into force 3rd December 2007\nThe Secretary of State—\n(a) to whom it appears that it is expedient for the references to Regulation (EC) No. 850/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on persistent organic pollutants to be construed as references to that Regulation as amended from time to time, and\n(b) who is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of, as read with paragraph 1A of Schedule 2 to, the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures relating to persistent organic pollutants,\nmakes these Regulations under that section.",
