Coming into force 6th April 1987

The Secretary of State for Social Services, with the consent of the Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1 and 2 of the Personal Injuries (Emergency Provisions) Act 1939^f1 and now vested in him^f2, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Scheme:-
