Article 24 Allowance where abstention from work is necessary following treatment in a hospital or similar institution

Where the Secretary of State is satisfied that a disabled person should on completion of a course of treatment as defined in Article 23(5) in a hospital or similar institution abstain from work in consequence of the condition which necessitated that treatment, he may be treated as if he were eligible for such period as the Secretary of State may think fit for a treatment allowance under Article 23.

This Article shall not apply to a disabled person who is in receipt of an allowance under Article 18(1)(i).
