# The Personal Injuries (Civilians) Scheme 1983, Article 26: Application of Part IV


Under this Part of this Scheme awards may be made in respect of the death of gainfully occupied persons where death is the direct result of war injuries, and in respect of the death of civil defence volunteers where death is the direct result of war service injuries.
