The Secretary of State, being designated^f1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972^f2 in relation to measures relating to safety as regards personal protective equipment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2(2) of the said Act hereby makes the following Regulations:
