# Petroleum Act 1987, Section 12: Offences: penalties.

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

A person guilty of an offence under section 2, 5, 9 or 10 shall be liable—
(a) on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum;
(b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to a fine, or to both.
