  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order provides that the Petroleum Act 1998 shall come into force in accordance with section 52(4) thereof on 15th February 1999. Subsection (4) of section 52 is subject to subsections (1) and (2) of that section, which apply in relation to the coming into force of the “excepted provisions” mentioned in article 2(2). The Order accordingly brings into force on that date all the provisions of the Act other than those excepted provisions.\nBy virtue of section 48(2) of the Act, any reference therein to the commencement thereof is a reference to its commencement in accordance with this Order.",
