Article 4 Payment of levies
(1)
A person required to pay a levy in accordance with Article 2 shall make a return in writing to the Department within 7 days of the end of each month showing—
(a)
the total number of pigs (other than pigs imported into Northern Ireland for immediate slaughter) slaughtered in a slaughter-house to which a licence under section 1 of the Slaughter-houses Act (Northern Ireland) 1953 relates; and
(b)
the total number of pigs exported from Northern Ireland,
in that month.
(2)
A return made in accordance with paragraph (1) shall be accompanied by the appropriate amount of levy in respect of those pigs.
