# Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011, Section 15: Intervention by Department


(1) If the Department thinks that a development plan document is unsatisfactory it may, at any time before the document is adopted under section 12 direct the council to modify the document in accordance with the direction.
(2) If the Department gives a direction under subsection (1) it must state its reasons for doing so.
(3) The council must comply with a direction given under subsection (1).
