  "heading": "Owner-occupier of a hereditament",
  "text": "“Owner-occupier” in relation to a hereditament means—\n(a) a person who—\n(i) occupies the whole or a substantial part of the hereditament in right of an owner’s interest in it, and\n(ii) has done so for the whole of the period of 6 months ending with the relevant day, or\n(b) if the whole or a substantial part of the hereditament has been unoccupied for not more than 12 months ending with the relevant day, a person who—\n(i) occupied the whole or a substantial part of the hereditament in right of an owner’s interest in it, and\n(ii) did so for the whole of the period of 6 months ending immediately before the period when it was not occupied.",
