# Planning (Wales) Act 2026, Paragraph 5: New towns

Extent: E+W
Status: prospective

(1) Land within an area described as the site of a proposed new town in the draft of an order about which a notice has been published under paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the New Towns Act 1981 (c. 64).
(2) This paragraph ceases to apply if—
(a) the order comes into operation (whether in the form of the draft or with modifications), or
(b) the Welsh Ministers decide not to make the order.
