  "text": "(1) The Welsh Ministers may—\n(a) acquire any land compulsorily, or\n(b) authorise a local highway authority or strategic highways company to acquire any land compulsorily,\nfor the purpose of providing a public right of way as an alternative to a right of way extinguished by an order under section 297.\n(2) The Acquisition of Land Act 1981 (c. 67) applies to an acquisition under this section.",
