  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend the form prescribed by the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations 2002 (S.I. 2002/233) for applications for criminal record certificates and enhanced criminal record certificates. Sections E and F of the application form, which require the applicant to supply additional information to assist in identity checking and details of referees respectively, are omitted. The Criminal Records Bureau no longer requires this information to be supplied on the application form to enable an application to be processed.\nThese Regulations revoke the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 (S.I. 2003/116) which contained a number of typographical errors and which have not come into force or been published.",
