# The Police (Amendment) Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text


POLICE, ENGLAND AND WALES
Made 5th June 2006
Laid before Parliament 8th June 2006
Coming into force 1st July 2006
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 50 of the Police Act 1996.
In accordance with section 63(3) of that Act, he has supplied a draft of these Regulations to the Police Advisory Board for England and Wales and has taken into consideration the representations made by that Board.
