Regulation 4 Amendments to the Police Regulations 2003

Regulation 24 (pay) is amended as follows.

In paragraph (2), for “regulations 42, 43 and 44” substitute “Part 7 of these Regulations”.

(3)

In paragraph (3)—

(a)

for sub-paragraph (f) substitute—

“(f)
in the case of a female member who has taken one or more periods of maternity leave, in respect of each maternity period—

(i)
where that leave has been for 52 weeks or more, account shall be taken of the first 52 weeks whilst on maternity leave;

(ii)
where that leave has been for less than 52 weeks, account shall be taken of any period spent on maternity leave;”;

(b)

for sub-paragraph (h) substitute—

“(h)
in the case of a member who has taken one or more periods of adoption leave, in respect of each adopted child account shall be taken of any period of such leave taken in accordance with a determination under regulation 33(8)(c);”.
