# The Police (Amendment) Regulations 2014, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 8th September 2014
Coming into force 1st October 2014
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 50(1), (2)(b) and (c) and (4) of the Police Act 1996.
In accordance with section 50(2ZC) of that Act, the text of these Regulations has been approved by the College of Policing.
