# The Police (Amendment) Regulations 2020, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 1st June 2020
Coming into force 22nd June 2020
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 50(1) and (2)(b) of the Police Act 1996.
In accordance with section 50(2ZC) of that Act, the text of these Regulations has been approved by the College of Policing.
