  "long_title": "These Regulations amend the Police Authority Regulations 2008 (S.I. 2008/630 – “the 2008 Regulations”) in order further to extend the terms of office of independent members of police authorities, pending the abolition of those authorities by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011. The 2008 Regulations were previously amended by the Police Authority (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/3030) so as to provide for any such term of office due to expire before 10th May 2012 to be extended until that date. These Regulations have the effect that a term of office due to expire before 22nd November 2012 is extended until that date.",
