# The Police Authority Regulations 2008, Regulation 22: Tenure of office


A member of a relevant council appointed to be a member of a police authority under regulation 6(1)(a) or 6(2)(a) shall cease to be a member of the police authority if he ceases to be a member of the council (and does not on the same day again become a member of the council).
