  "text": "The Police Cadets Regulations 1979 shall be amended as follows:\n(a) in regulation 13(1) (a) for the words “1st July 1987” there shall be substituted the words “1st July 1988” and for the words “31st August 1987” there shall be substituted the words “31st August 1988”;\n(b) for the Table in Schedule 2 (scales of pay) there shall be substituted the following Table—\n“\nTable\nAge\nLondon\nProvinces\nPart I—Pay from 1st July 1988 to 31st August 1988\nUnder 17 years\n£3,849 a year\n£3,195 a year\n17 years\n£4,041 a year\n£3,387 a year\n18 years or over\n£4,425 a year\n£3,771 a year\nPart II— Pay from 1st September 1988\nUnder 17 years\n£4,038 a year\n£3,384 a year\n17 years\n£4,242 a year\n£3,588 a year\n18 years or over\n£4,650 a year\n£3,996 a year.\n”\n(c) for paragraph 2 of Schedule 3 (charge for board and lodging) there shall be substituted the following paragraph—\n“2. The annual rate of charge shall be—\n(a) in the case of a police cadet attached to the Metropolitan Police force, £510;\n(b) in any other case, £471.”.",
