  "text": "The Police Cadets Regulations 1979() shall be amended as follows—\n(a) in regulation 13 for the words “in Schedule 2 hereto” there shall be substituted the words—\n“(a) in respect of the period beginning with 1st September 1986 and ending with 31st August 1987, in Part I of the Table in Schedule 2 hereto and,\n(b) in respect of the period thereafter, in Part II of the said Table”;\n(b) in regulation 17, for the words “£0·50” in paragraph (1) there shall be substituted the words “£1·27”, and for the words “£36” in paragraph (2) there shall be substituted the words “£92”;\n(c) for the Table in Schedule 2 (scales of pay) there shall be substituted the following Table—\n“\nTable\nAge\nLondon\nProvinces\nPart I—Pay from 1st September 1986 to 31st August 1987\nUnder 17 years\n£3,582 a year\n£3,015 a year\n17 years\n£3,762 a year\n£3,195 a year\n18 years or over\n£4,125 a year\n£3,558 a year\nPart II—Pay from 1st September 1987\nUnder 17 years\n£3,762 a year\n£3,195 a year\n17 years\n£3,954 a year\n£3,387 a year\n18 years or over\n£4,338 a year\n£3,771 a year\n”\n(d) for paragraph 2 of Schedule 3 (charge for board and lodging) there shall be substituted the following paragraph—\n“2 The annual rate of charge shall be—\n(a) in the case of a police cadet attached to the City of London or Metropolitan Police force, £480;\n(b) in any other case, £444.”.",
