  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations further amend the Police Cadets (Scotland) Regulations 1968.\nRegulation 4 increases the maximum travel allowance for cadets travelling to their parents or guardian outside the British Isles from £36 to £92 and increases the minimum cost below which no reimbursement is made from £0.50 to £1.27.\nRegulation 5 increases the pay of police cadets with retrospective effect from 1st September 1987. Retrospection is authorised by section 27(2) of the Police (Scotland) Act 1967.\nRegulation 6 increases the charges payable by cadets for board and lodging provided by police authorities from £420 per annum to £444 per annum with effect from 27th November 1987.",
