  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations further amend the Police Cadets (Scotland) Regulations 1968.\nRegulation 4 increases the pay of police cadets with effect from 1st September 1986. The retrospective effect is authorised by section 27(2) of the Police (Scotland) Act 1967.\nRegulation 5 increases the charges payable by cadets for board and lodging provided by police authorities from £396 per annum to £420 per annum with effect from 13th April 1987.",
