  "text": "LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND AND WALES\nMade 17th June 1966\nLaid before Parliament 24th June 1966\nComing into Operation 30th June 1966\nWhereas the Treasury has determined under section 60(2) of the Local Government Act 1958 that the Secretary of State is the appropriate Minister in relation to members of police forces:\nNow, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said section 60(2) (as extended by Schedule 9 to, and read with section 58(4) of, the Police Act 1964), I hereby make the following Regulations:—",
