  "text": "These Regulations amend the Police (Compensation) Regulations 1965.\nRegulation 37 of the Regulations of 1965 (in accordance with section 58(4) of the Police Act 1964) makes special provision applicable to chief constables who were serving as such on 1st July 1964. It is possible in particular cases for the application of Regulation 37 to be unfavourable to the chief constables concerned. These Regulations provide that in such cases Regulation 37 shall not apply.",
