  "text": "LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND AND WALES\nMade 22nd March 1965\nLaid before Parliament 31st March 1965\nComing into Operation 1st April 1965\nWhereas the Treasury has determined under section 60(2) of the Local Government Act 1958that the Secretary of State is the appropriate Minister in relation to members of police forces:\nNow, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said section 60(2) (as extended by Schedule 9 to, and read with section 58(4) of, the Police Act 1964), I hereby make the following Regulations:—",
