# The Police (Complaints) (General) (Amendment) Regulations 1988, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 21st October 1988
Coming into force 14th November 1988
In exercise of the power conferred upon me by section 99(2)(k) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, and after furnishing a draft thereof to the Police Advisory Board for England and Wales and taking into consideration the representations made by the said Board in accordance with section 100(2) of the said Act of 1984, I hereby make the following Regulations:
