Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

This Order may be cited as the Police Grant (Scotland) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.

In this Order–

  • “the Act” means the Police (Scotland) Act 1967;

  • “authority” means a police authority (not being a constituent authority) or a joint police board;

  • “financial year 2001-2002” means the period of 12 months commencing on 1st April 2001; and

  • “police grant” means the grant made under section 32(1) of the Act.
