  "text": "(1) Except as provided by subsections (2) and (3), this Act extends to Northern Ireland only.\n(2) Paragraph 8 of Schedule 3 extends throughout the United Kingdom.\n(3) The amendment or repeal by this Act of any provision of—\n(a) the Police (Overseas Service) Act 1945;\n(b) the Police (Scotland) Act 1967;\n(c) the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975;\n(d) the Northern Ireland Assembly Disqualification Act 1975;\n(e) the Ministry of Defence Police Act 1987;\n(f) the Official Secrets Act 1989;\n(g) the Police Act 1996;\n(h) the Police Act 1997,\nhas the same extent as that provision.",
