  "text": "Schedule A to the principal Regulations is amended—\n(a) by inserting after the definition of “aggregate pension contributions”—\n““the appropriate factor” means, in relation to part-time service, the factor which was the appropriate factor within the meaning of regulation 5(5) or (6) of the Police Regulations 1987 as it applied by virtue of paragraph 1 of Schedule 1A to those Regulations;”;\n(b) by inserting after the definition of “overseas service”—\n““part-time service” means service as a regular policeman performed pursuant to an appointment under regulation 8A of the Police Regulations 1987;”.",
