# The Police Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

PENSIONS, ENGLAND AND WALES
Made 14th March 2006
Laid before Parliament 15th March 2006
Coming into force 5th April 2006
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Police Pensions Act 1976.
In accordance with section 1(1) of that Act, the Treasury has consented to the making of these Regulations and the Secretary of State has consulted with the Police Negotiating Board for the United Kingdom.
