Paragraph 1

This paragraph shall apply where a pension payable to a serviceman in pursuance of paragraph (2) or (3) of Regulation I2 is increased in pursuance of paragraph (4) of that Regulation.

The increased amount of the pension payable to the serviceman for any period shall not, when aggregated with the amount of any armed forces award which is also payable to or in respect of him for that period, exceed the amount of the award which would have been payable for that period if the injury as a result of which he is permanently disabled had been treated as if it were an injury received without his own default in the execution of his duty as a regular policeman.

The reference in the preceding sub-paragraph to an armed forces award shall not include an allowance for constant attendance, wear and tear of clothing or comforts.
