# The Police (Performance) Regulations 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st December 2008
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 50, 51 and 84 of the Police Act .
In accordance with section 63(3) of that Act, she has supplied the Police Advisory Board for England and Wales with a draft of these Regulations and has taken into consideration the representations of that Board.
In accordance with section 84(9) of that Act, a draft of these Regulations was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
