Regulation 39 Assessment of performance or attendance following third stage meeting

This regulation applies where a written improvement notice has been issued under regulation 38.

Where this regulation applies, the performance of the officer concerned shall be assessed under regulation 19 as if he had received a written improvement notice under regulation 15.

Where, as a result of such assessment, the officer concerned is required to attend a second stage meeting, these Regulations shall have effect as if he had been required to attend that meeting under regulation 19; and—

Where a police officer is required to attend such a second stage meeting, that meeting must concern unsatisfactory performance which is similar to or connected with the unsatisfactory performance referred to in the written improvement notice.
