# The Police (Performance) Regulations 2020, Regulation 15: Circumstances in which a first stage meeting may be required

Where the line manager of a police officer considers that the performance or attendance of that officer is unsatisfactory, the line manager may require the officer concerned to attend a meeting (in these Regulations referred to as a first stage meeting) to discuss the performance or attendance of the officer.
