# The Police (Performance) Regulations 2020, Regulation 49: Second stage meeting under regulation 48

Extent: E+W

(1) Where an officer is required to attend another second stage meeting under regulation 48—
(a) that meeting must be conducted by the same panel as conducted the initial second stage meeting (subject to any change in that panel under regulation 48);
(b) the officer concerned may not object to panel members under regulation 35, except in accordance with regulation 48;
(c) subject to paragraph (2), regulations 36 to 46 apply to, or in relation to, that meeting.
(2) Following that second stage meeting, the panel may not order an extension of the period of the written improvement notice issued to the officer concerned.
