# The Police (Promotion) (Amendment) Regulations 2015, Note: Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Police Promotion Regulations 1996 (“the 1996 Regulations”) to implement the decision to require all forces to use the National Police Promotion Framework, which includes an assessment based on a written paper, and a work based assessment.
