  "text": "(1) The Police (Promotion) Regulations 1996 are amended in accordance with these Regulations.\n(2) In paragraph 5(1) of Schedule 1, insert “(1B),” after “sub-paragraphs”.\n(3) In paragraph 5(1A) of Schedule 1, insert “(1B),” after “sub-paragraphs”.\n(4) After paragraph 5(1A) of Schedule 1, insert-\n“(1B) A constable who is participating in the HPD Scheme is eligible to take Part I of the qualifying assessment for promotion to the rank of sergeant.”",
