  "text": "In this Act—\n“the 1984 Act” means the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (c. 60);\n“the 1996 Act” means the Police Act 1996 (c. 16);\n“the 1997 Act” means the Police Act 1997 (c. 50);\n...\n“the British Transport Police Force” means the force of constables appointed under section 53 of the British Transport Commission Act 1949 (c. xxix);\n“modifications” includes omissions, alterations and additions, and cognate expressions shall be construed accordingly.",
