{ "url": "https://openlegislation.uk/police-regulations-1995/schedule-6/paragraph-2", "json_url": "https://openlegislation.uk/police-regulations-1995/schedule-6/paragraph-2.json", "legislation": "uksi/1995/215", "legislation_title": "The Police Regulations 1995", "legislation_url": "https://openlegislation.uk/police-regulations-1995", "path": "schedule/6/paragraph/2", "kind": "paragraph", "number": "2", "heading": null, "text": "(1) Except in the case of a member of the City of London or metropolitan police force, where immediately before 1st September 1978 the annual pay of a chief superintendent was greater than £8,703, his annual pay determined in accordance with paragraph 1 shall be increased by £147.\n(2) Except in the case of a member of the City of London or metropolitan police force, where immediately before 1st September 1978 the annual pay of a superintendent was greater than £7,839, his annual pay determined in accordance with paragraph 1 shall be increased by £42.\n(3) Where a member of the City of London or metropolitan police force holding the rank of chief superintendent has held that rank or the rank of superintendent in one or other of those forces at all times since 1st September 1985, his annual pay determined in accordance with paragraph 1 shall be increased by £474.\n(4) Where a member of the City of London or metropolitan police force holding the rank of superintendent has held that rank in one or other of those forces at all times since 1st September 1985, his annual pay determined in accordance with paragraph 1 shall be increased—\n(a) where he has, or is to be treated as having, more than 2 years' reckonable service in that rank, by £474;\n(b) where he has, or is to be treated as having, more than one but less than 2 years' such service, by £624;
