These Regulations revoke regulation 50 of, and paragraph 17 of Schedule 1B to, the Police (Scotland) Regulations 1976. Regulation 50 entitles constables to a plain clothes allowance determined by Scottish Ministers. Paragraph 17 of Schedule 1B modifies regulation 50 in relation to part-time service. The Regulations come into force on 1st April 2004.
