  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThese Regulations amend the Police Trainee Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001 to repeal the emergency provisions introduced in 2020 to allow the Chief Constable to impose different requirements as to the period of service and training for police trainees in response to COVID-19. This is in line with the commitment to retain the provisions for only as long as necessary to address the ongoing pandemic.",
