  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order establishes a development Council for the potato industry in Great Britain to be known as the British Potato Council.\nIn particular the Order—\n(a) assigns functions to the Council (article 3 and Schedule 1);\n(b) provides for the appointment of members and the proceedings of the Council (articles 4 and 5 and Schedule 2);\n(c) provides for the keeping of a register of producers and first purchasers (articles 6 and 7);\n(d) empowers the Council to require registered producers and first purchasers to furnish returns and information (articles 8 and 11);\n(e) provides for the imposition of charges by the Council for its expenses in the exercise of its functions (article 9);\n(f) empowers the Council to borrow and invest money (article 10); and\n(g) prescribes offences and penalties (article 12).\nThis Order comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.",
