# The Power Purchase Agreement Scheme Regulations 2014, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2) and (3)
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 51(1) to (5) of the Energy Act 2013.
In accordance with section 51(6) and (7) of that Act, the Secretary of State has consulted licensed suppliers, the Authority and such other persons as the Secretary of State considers appropriate.
