# The Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, Paragraph 22: Non-destructive tests


For pressure equipment, non-destructive tests of permanent joints must be carried out by suitable qualified personnel provided that for pressure equipment in categories III and IV, the personnel must be approved by a recognised third-party organisation.
