European Community Council Directive 88/314 EEC (OJ No. L 142, 9.6.88, p.19) on consumer protection in the indication of the prices of non-food products does not apply to sales by auction. This Order amends the Price Marking Order 1991 bringing it into line with the Directive by making the Order inapplicable to sales of such products by auction.
