# The Primary Care Trusts (Establishment) Amendment Order 2003

This Order removes from all those Primary Care Trust establishment orders listed in the Schedule the article (article 8) which restricts the relevant Primary Care Trusts from providing services (other than community health services) directly to patients.

NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, ENGLAND
Made 14th July 2003
Coming into force 1st August 2003
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 16A(1) and (2) and 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, following compliance with the consultation requirements contained in regulations made under section 16A(5) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

## 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Primary Care Trusts (Establishment) Amendment Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st August 2003.

## 2 Amendment of Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Orders

In each of the Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Orders listed in the Schedule article 8 (exercise of functions) shall be omitted.
